50% of people surveyed say they have visited a website to buy a product/service as a result of seeing it in Stories.
Instagram Stories have a prominent position at the top of everyone's app.
They give you an opportunity to showcase your product or service with the best location in the app (and on the NEW desktop site)!
They are an easy and effective way to get the attention of your users.
BUT...let’s face it.
Coming up with content ideas for Stories is hard.
And consistency can feel impossible when you’re always struggling with what to include and how to utilize it!
Here are 3 easy ways to make your Instagram Stories faster!
Have a Content Plan
As a busy mom and business owner, having a plan is ESSENTIAL to my digital marketing efforts. Make a content plan that works for you and your schedule
…let me repeat that...
MAKE A CONTENT PLAN THAT WORKS FOR YOU AND YOUR SCHEDULE!
Instagram “growth hacks” often insist you post 3 times a day and if that’s your full time job - sure - maybe you can pull that off.
But if you’re anything like me - that is FAR from realistic!
When you have a content plan, you are committing to showing up consistently and can plan ahead what content you will share. Instagram Stories focus on building connections and authenticity with your audience, so be sure your content reflects that.
2. Utilize Your SAVED Instagram Folders
When I find content that is share-worthy but I’m not ready to share it, I always save it within the Instagram App. Then I can quickly find it when I'm ready to share!
To save a post within the app, click the ribbon button:
After the image is saved, select Add to Collection to create a folder or add to an existing folder for your different content types.
Reels can also be saved, but the save icon will look and function differently depending on how you are viewing it. If you are on your home feed, follow the steps above for saving a post and add the reel to a collection. If you are on your reels feed, select the 3 dots on the right side of the screen to save the reel
NOTE: Saving a reel this way will add the reel to your saved folder but you will not have the option to save the reel to a specific folder (also called a collection).
To retrieve any saved content within the Instagram app, navigate to your profile page. Select the 3 horizontal lines in the top right corner.
Select Saved from the Menu
Pick the appropriate folder/collection where your saved content lives:
From here, you can share the content to your Instagram Stories like normal!
3. Selfie Folder on your phone
This is one of my personal time saving Instagram Story favorites!
With my iPhone, I have an album of Selfies that is automatically populated for me, but if you don’t have an iPhone you can create a folder within your cell phone for this purpose.
I take selfies at locations that are picturesque to utilize in my stories when I don’t need video content or don’t want to take a picture in the moment
...you know those times…
when you have no makeup on and still in your jammies 🤣
Here’s how I’ve paired a past Selfie with Text or an Interactive Element on my Stories
